BrightonSEO: Talks, community and cold-water dives

This April’s BrightonSEO was a particularly memorable one for us at Candour.

We’ve been attending the conference for years now – sometimes speaking, sometimes supporting, and always catching up with familiar faces. But this year stood out.

With our sister SaaS platform, AlsoAsked, stepping up as a headline sponsor for the first time, it felt like a bit of a leap. That said, we were genuinely pleased (and a little relieved) by the warm response to the launch campaign, especially “the Kevin video” which made its debut ahead of the event.

One of the best parts of brightonSEO is seeing people take the stage for the first time, and this year we were lucky enough to watch our friends Bengu, Daniel, and Emina deliver excellent debut talks. It’s always good to see fresh voices getting a platform, and even better when they produce such brilliant talks.

We also want to say thanks to Tazmin, Sarah, and Jack for recording a live episode of Search with Candour x SEO Mindset Podcast on the first evening. It’s no small task to record in front of a live audience, especially at the end of a busy conference day, but they handled it with ease.

Until next time!

Events like this are as much about the people as the content, and it was great to finally meet some long-time online connections in person, like Lily Ray – even if we somehow managed to miss others we’d hoped to catch (next time!).

There was also a quick cold-water swim under the pier thrown into the mix – but that’s a story for another day.

Thanks again to everyone who made this year’s BrightonSEO what it was. Until next time.
