Candour is taking to the skies for our charity of the year

To raise money for our charity of the year, Leeway, three of the Candour team will be taking the leap (literally) and taking part in a skydive.
On August 30th, our Director of Strategy Jessica, our Digital PR Specialist Hayley, and our Search Specialist Lauren will be jumping out of a plane at Beccles airfield.
Leeway is a specialist domestic abuse charity that has been supporting 14,000 people every year across Norfolk and Suffolk for over 40 years. They are a vital lifeline for adults, children, and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse.
How to give
Any donations to support Leeway, and our brave skydivers, would be really appreciated. Or if you are unable to donate, sharing our page will still go a long way.

Why we chose Leeway
Jessica Bettis, Director of Strategy, Candour“Leeway received an almost unanimous team vote to become our charity partner of the year, a real reflection of the life-changing impact their services have on families across our community.”
The services provided by Leeway
Here are just some of the ways that Leeway supports those experiencing domestic abuse.
Suffolk (IDVA) Service
People using Leeway who have been assessed as being at high risk of serious harm will be given an advocacy worker by their Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA) team.
This person acts as a single point of contact and they coordinate a multi-agency response to assess the safety and security of both the person and their family and coordinate a safety plan to keep them safe and provide updates as the case progresses through the courts.
NIDAS
Leeway is involved in the delivery of NIDAS (Norfolk Integrated Domestic Abuse Service), a domestic abuse service offering a range of one to one and group work to support those assessed at high or medium risk of serious harm, in Norfolk.
The service offers free, confidential, and non-judgemental support for adults (16+) of all genders, and their children, to help them recover and build a new life free from abuse.
Children and Young People’s Healthy Relationship Service
Leeway’s Healthy Relationship service provides support to young people living in Norfolk, raising awareness around healthy relationships so they are able to flourish.
The team deliver healthy relationship awareness sessions to young people in schools and colleges across Norfolk, as well as delivering webinars for professionals working with children and young people.
With our skydive, we are aiming to raise £1,080 to help Leeway to continue to do all their amazing work.
Jools Ramsey-Palmer, CEO, Leeway“This support ensures we can continue providing vital services to the thousands of local people affected by domestic violence and abuse”
