Candour

Our plan for COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

11/03/20 update: As of Monday 16th March 2020, the Candour team will make the move to 100% remote working, including meetings and workshops as detailed below.

Given the current rise in confirmed UK cases of COVID-19, Candour is enacting a phased plan to help ensure staff wellbeing and minimising our contribution to the further spread of the virus.

We have made a plan based on the government advice that there will be significant rise in the number of cases.

Steps we are currently taking

Fewer face-to-face meetings
As of 10.03.2020, there is no specific advice from the Chief Medical Officer about further social isolation. In the interim, we will be encouraging increased use of video conferencing for routine meetings, so while we love seeing our clients in person we hope you will support us in this endeavour.

Increased working from home
This is nothing new for us! Since our inception, Candour has offered working from home options for our staff and we have robust procedures, software and systems in place for this to work.

While the government has not enacted a 'social distancing' policy, we are allowing staff to make their own decisions based on their own situation as to whether they wish to increase their working from home days.

Anyone that experiences symptoms consistent with COVID-19 will be asked to self-isolate for 2 weeks.

Steps we plan to take

Shift to 100% remote working
In the very likely scenario that the number of COVID-19 cases grows exponentially and we see more cases affecting the local area, we will move our staff to 100% remote working.

While this may sound dramatic, this is a very simple transition for us as we already have all of the procedures, software and systems in place for doing this.

No face-to-face meetings
In this likely scenario of a large increase in the number of cases, we would not require staff to attend face-to-face meetings. All meetings would be offered via Candour-hosted Google video chats, which require no special software and be be accessed by a standard web browser or dialled in with any landline or mobile.

How will this affect our clients

Apart from not being able to visit Snoop at the studio, we currently do not foresee any issues with the delivery of agreed work with our current plan.
